Geaux Tigers....

Just curious outside the world wide Interweb B.S Rumors, I don't see much chatter on Pyburn.

His film is good, better than some freshman DE and with our 2 outstanding DL coaches, he'll get better.

I bet he helps DE Carpenter too.

Because our fans suck. Kid has SEC starting experience and stats and it’s not flashy enough for them

He had 60 tackles, for 2nd on the team while only playing 30% of the snaps for Florida last year. Had 2 sacks, while mostly being asked to drop back in coverage and set the edge on the run. He’s fast and violent. He’s coming here to have Peoples do for him what he did for Swinson and Jones. He’s really good.

Where he really helps is stopping the run, something LSU really needs help with. Setting the edge and stopping the run is the strong part of his game.

He does and NIL is like the advantages BYU had with The Mormons all those years with dudes 22 as freshman .

Outside the freshman freaks, which BYU never got, older is always better.

I wonder if any of our other young DEs can learn from Pyburn, or if only Carpenter will benefit.

His excessive demands turned people off
But I’m sure he came down to reality
He has to be a big help at a weak spot on our D

I like him. Holds the edge well and is good against the run. Doesn’t have great pass rush ability, but I could see 4-5 sacks in Baker’s system.

I loved what a FL sports reporter said about him. “ Every defense needs a psycho on the field and that’s Pyburn” and he will definitely set the edge” wasn’t much of a pass rusher but think he’s coachable and he really wants to be on the field so I think he’ll do what he has to to be on the field
