Finally got to see the two in person in the dome this weekend. How in the world did we not offer the Parker kid?

No knock against JT but Parker was bigger, faster, and more explosive. I was impressed.

This kid has offers from Michigan, Bama, Tennessee, etc and we don’t even give an offer?

Good question. Coach evaluations of players are sometimes flawed, and some guys slip through the cracks and become great players elsewhere. See Matt Forte

If he had a committable offer from Bama, he wouldn’t have chosen Michigan. It wasn’t until late in the cycle that Michigan start throwing crazy NIL money around, long after he committed to them.

Well in Lindsey’s defense he had to do it against the best overall team in the state in Edna Karr and not really even close. Parker probably wouldn’t have looked much better against Karr either if they played them.

Edna Karr was just on a different level form everybody this year

Caleb Jackson is bigger, stronger, and as fast as Durham.

Lindsey is much better in space than Parker.

I wouldn't Judge JT Lindsey from that game. That Karr team is clearly the best in the state. Parker is a very good back, and will be successful. The coaches have seen them all multiple times at camps and went with Berry and Lindsey. It's not a mistake.

I went to the E D white game. That one long run he showed some crazy break away speed. Towards the end of the game when they needed an extra yard he went and got it. But he was contained most of the game. Don’t know if he just doesn’t have the strength or just takes plays off. Seems like when he wanted he could have dominated that game. Also missed lots of blocks. I think Shaw wasted lots of speed on offense. ED white is very well coached and disciplined on both sides. If they ever got a guy like 4 or 8 on Shaw they would win state more often.

I watched both semis and finals. Overall performance didn't matter as much as the vision, change of direction, and speed. JT is elite and smooth as butter. Parker is great too. Can't go wrong with either but JT has some shite you can't practice.

I played at EDW and spot on. They will always be well coached and well prepared and play with discipline, but we have always had to try and overcome the lack of having a few explosive players here and there. I agree, if they did, they would win state a lot more often. We have always been in the John Curtis model but with the lack of players that Curtis gets from the NOLA area.

If some of those kids that go to Thibodaux and Assumption would come to EDW, it would be a different story.

So, their Oline did better than Ash's oline. It was also a weird rainy game. Final score was still 48-21.

And.....we aren't knocking Parker. He's very good. He has a great skillset to have a very good college career.

Parker would have looked better bc of Shaw's ability to actually complete this thing called a forward pass.
