Shortly after I purchased two rental properties in Gunter (I've since sold them), they started becoming a powerhouse.

Still waiting to be honored by the school board.

Duncanville lost to North Crowley. NC also beat DeSoto earlier this year. They are legit.

Lots of upsets this year. It’s nice to see someone different than Duncanville or Aledo. And it was nice seeing DeSoto get humbled.

Celina is going through the boom right now. Crazy…I always associated them with small-town football.

North Crowley (15-0) vs Austin Westlake (14-1)

HUGE upsets led to this game.

North Shore vs. Duncanville has become an annual tradition. Congratulations to both North Crowley and Westlake for pulling off the semi-final upsets.

It’s not often you see players and coaches in tears from a semi-final win, but that was the case with both North Crowley and Westlake this past weekend.

Hope the big games are competitive and not huge blowouts like last year

Was impressed by SOC watching them last year. That was a great game .

Will be watching these on tv. It’s so cool for these kids from the small towns to play in jerryworld. Can’t imagine the feeling and the pride that goes with it .

It couldn’t get any more “Texas” than a Muenster vs Shiner matchup for a state championship.

My daughter goes to Smithson Valley. They have made the title game each of the last two seasons, but they have never won state.

North Crowley is dominant this year because their coaching staff finally put an end to Aledo poaching their best players away.

Also explains why Aledo lost twice this year

I was truly amazed that Westlake managed to beat North Shore! I've watched Westlake play on TV a bunch of times here in Austin, but I didn't expect this, especially knowing how strong North Shore came back after beating them last year.

I think all the upper-division games are going to be really fun to watch!

Who knocked DeSoto out of the playoffs this year?

It is so strange to see Vandergriff listed as Austin when it is in the Leander ISD; I guess the same can be said about Westlake; they are not in the AISD either.

I'll start watching Friday when East Texas powers Carthage and Celina play. North Texas has owned TXHSFB for a few years..

Per the UIL: "WATCH THE TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS ON FANDUEL SPORTS NETWORK"

Football State Championships Broadcast Information on UIL website

Living in Ruston, LA, if I got Direct TV, I could pay $10 more a month for a regional sports package that would include these games , plus the Rangers and Mavs. Looking at doing that, but probably won't before the weekend.

Direct TV Choice package pricing

Bumping the thread

The games are televised on fanduel ( formerly ballys sports network channels)

Watching last nights shiner/muenster 2A game and shiner runs this option offense beautifully.
