Back in 2016, I finished 2nd in an online poker tournament for $2800. I opted to receive 4 Bitcoin as payment (which was $700/each at the time). I’m kicking myself for not holding on to it

Personally know three people who have paid for their homes cashing in bitcoin.
One in OKC
One in Vegas
One in Phoenix

They’re not mansions, but all have pools.

Not a pile, but i dca'd about 5k into it pretty close to the bottom during Covid.

Had about .4 of a coin. Sold it at 42.5k last January to pay off both my vehicles a year early.

Don't regret it. It gave me a lot more freedom to save this year without the car payments.

Where's that Wiki bat signal image when you need it? That guy was telling us to buy when it was $35. Everyone called him a loon.

Dude has gotta be worth many millions by now.

Anyone who buys Bitcoin for a quick ride up, maybe making them a double, is a fool. This needs to be bought and forgotten about until retirement, and continuing to buy with about 25% of your annual savings dollars.

It may be a rough ride for many somewhat significant periods of time, but you never want to be like those who sell, only to spend the money and regret it and tell everyone how you could have been a multi-millionaire.

That's a little harsh. If someone doubles their money quickly, I would not consider them a fool.

Are they printing more fiat? If so, it’s a good time to buy.

Depends on whether you think nation states will begin buying. If so, then yes. If not, still yes but maybe less confident yes.
