Will anything ever stop & reverse the dopamine addictions?

Constant focus on social media likes, porn, video games, all things digital, etc. is killing people's motivation and handcuffing them to their devices.
Is there anyway this trend can actually reverse itself and get the world back to more of a focus of the real world and human interactions?
It seems that companies have become so adept at exploiting the role of dopamine that people have become more addicted to select vices which in turn causea more of a need for dopamine rushes. A self feeding cycle.

How? First it was social media, then the pandemic, soon it’ll be AI. Human interaction? Get back behind the screen

Mankind fell due to an apple, brother. We're fricked.

I mean we are probably fricked, but brains will probably evolve eventually. I’m sure at one point people thought listening to the radio all day would rot your brain.

Honestly, I was able to reset after removing Instagram from my phone. The platform is TERRIBLE on desktop so I quickly stopped visiting it much at all. Now I check it once or twice a week and don’t get that weird urge I used to get to scroll it mindlessly for 20-30 minutes.
I’ve filled that time with more things around the house like laundry, cleaning up and reading (because I’m a POS working from home) and it’s been great.
That being said, it’s not magic. People need to make the change and sadly, most won’t.

I guess we’ll see when everyone has Neuralink but I doubt it. Just go when the light turns green, that’s all I ask.

Video games are not bad for you. Like everything, in moderation. X isn't social media as much as it is a news source. Porn does nothing for me. I never watch.

I quit a 10 year alcohol addiction and my wife gave up social media. Guess who had the most difficult time lol. She actually got jealous of tigerdroppings and now she lurks here to read threads
No one in my household has social media and we are better off for it. We went out today and found a Christmas tree in the mountains and brought it home.

Only when young people decide smart phones and social media isn’t cool anymore. It’s not impossible

Yes. Jesus. People need to come to Jesus when they are downtrodden and feeling helpless.

Quitting cold turkey. It's painful and depressing for
like 4 months but you will feel normal after that sacrifice.

Went on a retreat years ago.
No phones for 4 days.
It was glorious.
Came back. Saw how much value it was without them.. I have no issue setting it down now and walk away. I routinely leave it at home if my wife is with me and she has hers.
It's awesome not having it in my pocket all day.

You probably wont see it, but maybe your kids and certainly grand kids. By then technology will have advanced so much we won’t have jobs, and to find meaning we will have to pretend to have adversities, as some do now.

I mean getting dopamine hits off video games is probably better than off cocaine or drugs.
