Simple solution to the mystery drone issue

State governors should order their State Police to shoot them down and deputize local hunters to assist.
Announce this will begin on the night of 12/13 and each night thereafter until they are gone and that all residents should remain indoors. Also announce that any damages from the operation will be assessed against the owner/operator (and we will find out who they are from the recovered downed drones)
One of a few things will happen:
1) whoever is flying them will stop to avoid losing them
2) if they're the US government's, they'll have to take some sort of acrion to prevent this

You know people will get hurt or killed from bullets falling back down from missed shots.

Don't be shooting down drones in this part of Texas. That's how I get my Whataburgers delivered:

The government knows what it is and since they aren't shooting them down, it would be a likely assumption that they are the ones that are flying them.

Those drones come and go over the ocean.
Duck hunters a mile off the Coast.

States don't not control that airspace, it's the Fed's jurisdiction.

I’m all for taking one down so I called my cousin who lives in New Jersey to get his opinion on what the heck is happening. He has seen some himself from his driveway but he said the big ones fly so high in the sky you can’t just shoot them down with a rifle, much less a shotgun. I think that’s part of the problem people aren’t realizing is they are really high in altitude and not easy to shoot down. This is crazy though.

And when someone shoots down a guy bug smashing in a Cessna 150, how is that gonna go?

I understand that drones are controlled by three methods.
1. Ground controller that are easy to detect (registered) and disable. Highly unlikely IMHO.
#2 Satellite...who's??? If ours, the government is lying. If someone else, who??? If we cannot determine, not good.
#3 Using a NEW technology with AI to preprogram geography into drone for navigation. If so, probably a defense contractor with special clearance and the gov't is lying to cover for them.

Its wild to me that people think this isn't our government's stuff. The damned things have running lights on, and the FAA isn't going ballistic. Think about it.
Kinda like how all of the UFO's out west in the second half of the 20th century were things like the F117 and B2 and their precursor stealth aircraft.

Andy, those are two jets on approach to Newark... Occam's Razor

Agreed. Shoot them down. Then those who own and fly them will have to detail their "mission" and take responsibility. Otherwise, it can easily be construed as enemy in origin, and dealt with.

There is a reason why these drones are not flying down here, over the south.

But everytime the idiots at the Pentagon brief the press on this subject, they swear they don't know who they belong to.
Are just supposed to assume our government is lying to us?
Because if so, let's have a discussion about the way Covid was handled.
