Just won...

Bednarik Award - top defensive player in the country

Biletnikoff Award - top wide receiver in the country

College football player of the year award

First team All American on defense

First team, All American on offense

... And there are still people on this board posting that he is not elite that either position.

He's not the best defensive player or the best wide receiver in the nation. Just goes to show you the awards can be skewed one way or the other depending on press coverage.

I’m curious how he will be utilized in NFL. Especially if a top pick to a shite team.

He’s a great player, but he’s not the best wide receiver in the country.

He’s very clearly the best player in the country and this board ALWAYS bitches that the Heisman only goes to the best QB and not the actual best football player

Sanders Derangement Syndrome is strong

There are plenty of great athletes playing in college football who could play on both offense and defense but he’s the only one doing it and isn’t the best at either though he’s good at both.

So since he plays both sides he should be considered the best player? I don’t agree with that.

Everyone can name a player who would excel in this situation, probably better, but doesn’t do it. This is a publicity stunt more than anything else. Or a lack of depth or talent on the team.

This is how I know you've never really watched him. I've watched college football for the past 35 years religiously. Every game I can watch, I watch. Doesn't matter the conference doesn't matter the magnitude. I have never seen someone with better ball skills. Ever.

How many of these players have you seen play both ways? But since this kid did he’s the greatest. Ok.

I’ve watched for 60 years and there have been many players who could have excelled both ways but didn’t get the opportunity. Heck, they do it in high school all the time but in college they are specialized now. He’s good though.

I remember seeing 1000's of posts all over the place last year saying Daniels shouldn't win because he had 3 losses even though he had 5k yards and 50 TDs.

Apparently Hunters' 3 losses and 14 TDs are supposed to be the best we've ever seen though.
