It looks to me like 9 is the lowest we can get for a Draft Pick

And that is a stretch. The Bears could get to 5-6 wins I think, its possible but unlikely they get to 6. No one below them is getting to 5 wins imo.

So basically 10 is the most likely lowest.

The saints may not win another game. They may not get lower than 10 but I’m sure you didn’t check the schedule of the other teams as well. Saints at best will win 1 game. And i could easily see the raider winning.

Bears play the Vikings, Lions, Seahawks and Packers. Likely no wins there.

Cowboys are 5-8. They have the Panthers this week and we need them to win because they play the Commanders, Eagles and Buccaneers after that.

Same for the Bengals. They play the Titans this weekend, then the Browns, Broncos and Steelers. We need them to win another game or two.

Jags play the Jets, Raiders, Titans and Colts. It might be too much to go 3-1 in that stretch.

Browns have Chiefs, Bengals, Dolphins and Ravens. We aren’t passing them up.

No chance to pass up the Jets or Patriots with their schedule either.

Have to hope the Bengals and Cowboys get another win. Best bet is to hope the Jags can go on a run to get to the 9th pick. We will likely pick in the 10-12 range.

Used ESPN playoff machine to play with some options and I came up with:
LV & NYG at 2-15
NYJ, NE, Clev, Tenn & Car at 3-14
Jax, SF, Dallas & NO at 6-11

That would put us in the 8-11 range.
I have Saints win against LV, but can see that going either way as both teams have QB issues. Losing out would have the Saints at 8th

Historically speaking, is having 8 teams with 3 wins or less a lot for this point in the season? It seems like a lot.

Exactly! As an older Saints fan, I hated "winning" these 3 worthless games. All it did was take us out from a better draft pick. I understand wanting to win games, but this is a horrible team. We need to draft early and pray we hit the lottery with a stud player(s).

Purposefully losing games is a sign of loser players and coaches. (and I guess fans as well) The type of player that can do this will eventually become a cancer to the team.

Many players and coaches have echoed this. Even of not outright said as much. Cam Jordan for one, Drew Brees for another.

I'm happy to see them play the game and let the chips fall where they may. I have more scrutiny on the scouting department to find the players that will succeed in the NFL and the coaching dept and management to go get those players.
