42 tackles, 7 TFL, 6 sacks, 1 pick.

That’ll play.

I'd much rather spend bucks on proven G5 starters than most SEC back up transfers.

That CJ West kid we (fans) wanted to get on last year had a good year at Indiana I understand. We need to take multiple DEs. This seems like a good candidate.

Odd take. Swinson had zilch for production at Oregon and had 9 sacks for us this season. Brenden Fiske who we were in on 2 years ago, was from Western Michigan, and was a First Round pick and dominated LSU last season. I could think of numerous other examples to give to you.

Point is, you have no idea if this guy would sit behind a bunch of guys playing in the SEC.

I think you’re proving his point for him.

I would love to know what your qualifications are in identifying in whether this dude would be a backup or a starter.

How? Guy said he’d rather take proven guys in G5.

Well Swinson was not “proven” coming out of Oregon and if we really want to go down the route, we could sit here and list handfuls of examples of non group of 5 guys, transferring and dominating.

You don’t have to play at Alabama and Ohio State to be a good football player. Do you know how many guys fly under the radar out of HS?

I think you are confused on G5, that is the other non power conferences. So guys from Kent state would be a G5 player

Specifically, it was take G5 starters over SEC backups.

Totally get it, you want someone who's arrow is pointing up, not down.

If Bo signed off and wants him. Swinson bloomed this year, Suggs was adequate enough for a late add desperation depth guy out of Grand Valley.

Christ. I'm saying I'd rather take a chance on a player who is CURRENTLY A STARTER and producing at a G5 as opposed to taking a chance on a player who is CURRENTLY A BACKUP and not producing in the SEC.
