Anyone have a recommendation? Daughter needs a pair of heels repaired and I have a pair of converse that I'd like to get resoled.

I’ve always wondered what costs of repairing shoes is vs just buying a new pair?
I guess I don’t spend more than $20-$30 on shoes.

Not sure about high heels or athletic shoes, but Edgewood in BR is the best around here in getting boots back into shape from my experience.

Quality Shoe Repair on Corporate, or Edgewood on Airline. I’ve had a good experience with both.

I pay $10 to have them cleaned and polished and $100 for a new sole and heel. I’ve got several pairs that I’ve had soles put on in the past 11 years and haven’t thrown a pair out yet with some being 11 years old. I rotate around 10 pair regularly with a few newer pairs I wear for meetings when I’m in a suit.

I second Darensbourg...he's the only one I use. Repaired multiple heels and boots for me over the years.

A buddy of mine I used to work with restores shoes and his work looks great. I mostly see him do sneakers, so not sure of heels. I also do not know the cost.
He's got a facebook page for it. _meta.morphosis_

I've had great experience with both. If you're in a hurry quality might be a better option. I needed soles replaced on a pair of shoes recently and Edgewood laughed at me when I inquired about a week turnaround. Lady at Quality said no problem!
