What coaching changes do you expect this year?

I believe Joe Sloan will be relieved of his duties as OC. Any other staff changes that you feel are imminent?

I unfortunately don't. I think Sloan was terrible as an OC but I don't think it was "Matt House bad" and think Kelly will probably stick with him.
I'm more hopeful that we'll get an addition to help him out, similar to a Joe Brady (not actually Joe Brady, calm down) that can amplify the play calling.

Have to replace Nagle
Probably nothing else unless someone else leaves

Maybe better route combos, with the trouble some of the receivers had with separation, run a little more rub routes. Hopefully they pick up 2-3 WR’s that won’t struggle with that.

Sadly, I agree that he'll probably return as OC, unless BK goes out and brings in someone he trusts, like Tommy Rees. That said, I absolutely feel that Sloan should be demoted back to QB coach.

wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost Sloan, but hopefully not much. We need some continuity around here for once.

I don't think we can Sloan, but we bring in Tommy Reese and he's got a strong hand in the overall development of the offense. Sloan/Hankton can still be co OC, but Reese helps with play sequencing.

Sloan should be relived of OC , Need a new strength and condition coach .

These threads are always a waste of time, absolutely no one here in anything near qualified enough to judge assistant coaching performance.
And even if they were, we don't have all of the information needed to make that determination.

Hope Brad Davis is replaced.

Sloan, for his faults, is 100% better than Rees.

Brian Kelly needs to go, but I suspect the casualty that provides the highest job security by their departure will go.

The voice of an adult. Thank you. You get it.

Normally I’d agree. But, when an area of team performance is so bad that fans can see it just by watching the games…that’s an exception to your normally reliable rule.
Offensive play calling was just bad. Simplistic. Inflexible. Unresponsive to game situations.
Watching several games in a row really shows it.
Also, factoring in …. Sloan is an inexperienced coach. This was his first year as an OC calling plays.
He needs to go.
Unless you think CBK was restricting play calling in some way.

Its incredible how a coach that was supposed to be the antithesis of the last guy and the turmoil and turnover the program was in is truly no better at managing the program. He just gets paid more money to do it. With lesser expectations. Its remarkable.

Consider the fact that BK had a play sheet in his hands for the final two games for the first time in 3 seasons as a coach. In those two games, the run game improved and turnovers went down.
If anything, BK waited too long to restrict the play calling this year.

Fans are retarded.
We get a post here at least once daily that says LSU needs to stop running an "RPO offense" with a pocket passer.
It's impossible to properly evaluate an offensive playcaller when you don't know the calls and especially when you can't consistently run the ball, block the middle, and you have an inexperienced quarterback.

No it wasn't.
That's exactly what I mean, fans here can't even get easily Googled information correct but you're trying to evaluate Sloan's job performance without being in the building or on the headset?

Incorrect, he did this in Denbrock's first year as well.
Again, we can't even get the easy information right but we're trying to evaluate coaching performances.

O was fired because he went .500 in two straight seasons and had massive holes at various position groups, like only one or two scholarship players there.
If you think the current situation is "no better", then you're just being willfully ignorant.
