Rattler or Haener to finish the season?

You give it to whoever is mentally the better backup. Don't discount a quality backup who helps your starter prepare and is another set of eyes on the sideline for him as well. Now giving him on field reps helps him see things better too.

Sounds good, but you can't judge them with our current receiving group imo.

Haener looked better and more comfortable than Rattler did his few games. I’d go with him rest of the season. Rattler had an extended look and lost every game.

Sure you can.

It's fairly easy to decipher if players are doing their jobs.

If the QB is making the right calls and delivering the ball well the end result matter less in his evaluation. Just like if he's one hopping balls and over throwing WR's it really doesn't' reflect bad on the WR's evaluation.

I'd go Rattler and get him reps especially with a healthy O line finally. Haener is just check down city.

This. We cannot fairly judge the QB based off of their play considering the available weapons and the remaining schedule. But the coaches know what plays were called, what the checkdown options are, where the players are supposed to be, the preferred reads, the protection setups....

I don't think he will be the future, but I also would not rule him out for games from 2 months ago. He was able to get thrown to the fire, had some great plays and some bad plays, then had 2 months to sit back and watch/learn/study... If the coaching staff believes he has any chance to be the future, I think you have to give him another shot and see if he was able to progress from those 3 games and 6-7 weeks to mentally prepare for that next shot.

Rattler still gives you best chance to win any game. For comparison's sake at Rattler's current stage, think of him like Winston, he'll make some beautiful throws but also probably have some more rookie mistakes & turnovers from forcing balls into coverage and loosely holding onto the ball too long in the pocket. Rattler looked far from great when he got starts earlier this year, but that was also with a make-shift o-line. Even though rookie Rattler has limitations, Kubiak really disappointed me during those games by not adjusting, especially after half time which is something he's struggled with all year long even with Carr. We still don't have our #1 & #2 WRs but with our starting 5 o-line we should be able to operate the offense better this go around

Haener has not had much live action, so it's hard to completely judge him just like its hard to completely judge Rattler, but again it comes down to Haener's lack of arm strength for me. He cannot threaten the ball downfield so D will play up force him dump the ball off to RB & TEs for -2 to +2 yard gains for quick 3 & outs. D playing up with no threat of deep ball also will kill any chance of us getting a run game going.

Most frustrating part of this season. Seems like the offense has a gameplan going into the game, and just rides with it for 60 minutes regardless of how effective it is. For all of his faults, DA was actually really good at making defensive adjustments at halftime, and since his termination that has now been a problem on that side of the ball.
