If you're in the market, which are you buying?

Thinking of getting a midsized and before some O-T smart-arse says something.... here's some notes.

1) i already have a fullsize truck
2) i already have a midsize truck as well
3) both have over 100k miles and my daughter wants my current midsize
4) no pics of any sort for you

I’d be hard pressed to buy anything other than a GMC Canyon AT4,,,

AT4X would be the closest equipped to ZR2, off-road hardware wise…

Buy the daughter a used S-10 or similar. She needs to learn to start at the bottom of the food chain so she has an incentive to improve her own position in life instead of getting a lot of freebies just because her family has earned it.

She'll be driving a truck w/over 100k miles... she's 17... survived cancer at 3.... was born a premie(?)... makes damn near straight As.

I'd say she's worked well to improve her own position in life.

I’m curious about this too. I know both Toyota and GMC are now using new 4 cylinder turbos, which gives me pause. I’ve had two Toyotas and I regret getting rid of them. They weren’t fancy but damn near bullet proof. I rather the looks of the GMC better that the Toyota

Buddy of mine has a '24 Tacoma TRD Pro and the inside isn't that impressive.

The new Rangers are pretty nice. Mine has been solid, only 75k miles but no issues.

Yes. I think they have a 6 cylinder option for the 24 models, though.

The new Canyons look great and the Frontiers took a big step up in aesthetics too.

If I had to get a small pickup, I’d get the Ranger Raptor. Even tho it’s insanely expensive for a small pickup.

My son had a 23 Canyon.
Had problems with the Transmission, the infotainment center and going down the road doing 60-70 and it automatically applies the brakes like you about to hit something. He traded it in and got an F150 STX-FXR.

Depends on what you need it to do. Do you need to tow, do you need 4wd, etc. Is it a commuter that needs to handle a trail in the fall or is it strictly for hunting/towing?

This is why I was very close to buying the Nissan.
