Same record. Best wins for both teams is UGA and Carolina. Ole Miss way more convincing in those games. Losses are comparable. Ole Miss on the road in OT to LSU, on the road against a hot UF team, bad home loss to UK early. Bama on the road at Vandy, on the road at a really good UTk team, and an absolute beat down at a bad Oklahoma team. Reverse the names on the Jerseys and the rankings are reversed.

I truly believe 95% of Swamptards would prefer Bama to fail than LSU to succeed.

I've never seen a fanbase more broken by another team than the Swamptards over the Crimson Tide.

I hate Ole Miss as much if not more than Bama. This isn’t personal I legit was curious about the opinion on these rankings based on the metrics.

Mizzou at home is a good win.

Same record.

With an easier strength of schedule. That was easy.

They lost at home to a team that finished 4-8.

Two really bad losses compared to 1. Squeaked out a win against USCe at home when Ole Miss demolished them on the road. Close win at home against UGA, Ole Miss dismantled them at home. The eye test used to matter

Both teams beat Carolina. Ole Miss much more convincingly and on the road.

In years past if Bama needed it “experts” would always point to the eye test to get them in. This year it’s ranked wins. I think Ole Miss is better than Bama this year and I don’t think it’s particularly that close. I also think SC is better than Bama right now which was an old mid 2000’s Southern Cal talking point although ridiculous with their losses. I cannot unwatch a fricking terrible Oklahoma just completely beat the shite out of Alabama just two weeks ago.

Just making the case:

Alabama is 4-1 against SEC teams with winning conference records, including a road win at LSU. Losses were all road games.

Ole Miss is 2-1 against SEC teams with a winning conference record, including a road win against SC. They are 2-2 if you want to include Florida. They have a home loss to Kentucky.

More wins against the winning SEC teams. No home losses.

Bama schedule is stronger and has the same record. Apparently who you beat is more valuable than you you lost to. Worst loss is probably Ole Miss at home versus UK any ways.

3 wins vs 2 wins over Top 25 teams

That’s what matters

Am I missing something?

Georgia and South Carolina are the only wins against ranked opponents for Alabama

You are probably right. Though that UK team early in the season took UGA to the limit. That Oklahoma loss by Bama was awful. They were manhandled by a bad team.
