These two guys appear to be very comparable coming out of high school, wondering if they finish on the same level. Johnson was here in 2011-2013, a

how, exactly, are they comparable?
Posted on 12/5/24 at 11:28 am to Icemaker
There's nothing comparable between these 2. Stewart was much more raw as well.

Both were 5 star tackles, and both highest rated dt of the cycle in america

Johnson had a solid career. Had he been a four star, no one would have anything negative to say about him.

Anthony Johnson is a much better singer.

Freak Johnson was a massive underachiever as a 5 star DL that came in.
Everyone thought he would be a dominator, like Glenn Dorsey for our defense. He did not come close to living up to his potential.
Then he entered the NFL draft as a Junior, where he went UNDRAFTED, and washed out of the NFL in 4 years.
No one knows what Stewart will become, but if his career mirrors Freak Johnson, he will be a disappointment. FACTS

Both of these guys were supposed to be game changers, one was ok, the verdict is still out on the other.

Freak Johnson didn’t skip two years of HS football.

Not to us. LSU isn’t paying for him.

Stop with the Truth!!!
If you pointed this out, the mouth breathers would scold you and say he was double teamed every play. He wasn’t, in fact, he was rarely doubl teamed.

Okay? They're still not comparable in the slightest outside an imaginary star rating. Stewart is entirely different from AJ coming out of HS and they don't even play similar.

What's the point of this thread? ... would you have made this thread if he signed with LSU? Are you trying to find a reason to feel better about him signing elsewhere?

He was the classic case of a guy who physically matured really early and that caught the eye of coaches. That rep stayed with him. However, once other future D-1 players "caught up" to him in their physical development the gap between where he was as a HS Sophomore vs. a College Sophomore closed.
Stewart is freak athlete but, as of now, a bit of a questionable football player. You sign those guys thinking you can "teach" him how to be a better football player. You can't teach the natural physical traits. Still, it's a crapshoot if the development as a player ever reaches the athletic potential

A lot like the older Moses physical freak before others and then it caught up to him
