WRs dont really count IMO. The guys who were ahead of them were 1st rounders so cant really consider it a loss

Eli Ricks and Dwight McGlothern transferring out started the fall of DBU.

The vast majority of these guys were not losses at all.
quote:

Siaki Ika
Loss
quote:

Marcel Brooks
Never contributed to a team in a meaningful way after leaving LSU.
quote:

Jack Bech
Wouldn't have made a big difference. Bailed out of LSU after a shitty season and would've been WR4, at best, last year.
quote:

Trey Palmer

Had a good 2022 at Nebraska, but would've slowed down the development of Thomas and Nabers had he been here. Not a huge loss
quote:

Devonta Lee
Had two tackles in three years at La Tech. I know he had health issues, but in no way shape or form was he a loss.
quote:

Corey Kiner

back to back 1000 yard seasons at Cincinatti. Maybe would've been RB2/3 the last two years? Wouldn't have been a difference maker.

The only actual losses we've had in the portal are
1. Ricks
2. McGlothern
3. Landon Jackson
4. Ika

No one else that's left would've made a substantial difference on any team in the last 3 years.

Letting Raymond go and O’s lack of giving a shite led to the downfall of DBU.

quote:

Trey Palmer

He had a problem with drops the he was able to clean eventually at Nebraska.

Would’ve been nice to have Marlon Martinez at guard this year after Delly went down.

Realistically, 4th/ 5th year guys like him aren’t sticking around in this era though. And you’d like to think it gave Mubenga some good experience. Geez he was bad at UF though.

Ika did fantastic at Baylor. With LSU's receiving corps, Bech and Palmer didn't really matter. Kiner was not an outstanding back at LSU averaging just over 4 ypc. At Cincinnati playing against far inferior competition, he averaged over 5 ypc. But one guy's mention is bizarre.. Marcel Brooks? He went to TCU and did squat:

2024 5 tackles including solo and assists 2.5 sacks
2023 7 tackles including solo and assists 0 sacks
2022 5 tackles including solo and assists 0 sacks

I was more referring to their impact at LSU then their impact at other schools

If Landon Jackson was the portal era, I’d put him #1
