They were interviewing her after a good game last night, and showing the clips. She looked like the player that was at Louisville the year before, and much better than what we saw. What was the deal at LSU? Was it Mulkey, the PG position, or was it Reese and jealousy? She clearly had zero confidence at LSU, but looks really good at TCU. My guess is there wasn't enough balls to go around, and AR let it be known that she was the star.

It was a lot of things. She was hurt for a large part of the season, she was playing out of position, and her skillset wasn't really a good fit for LSU.

They put her in a position she wasn’t used to and she didn’t gel with the team

agreed......and I'm sure the position change hurt her confidence, but it was more than that imo....there was something going on there behind the scenes.

TCU is pretty good, ranked #9, and she is their leader and playing well.

bullshite. I specifically DMd Van Lith letting her know my balls were ready and waiting.

I wouldn't be surprised. Watched most of the games last year and it was pretty common for her to be open on the wing and the ball never seemed to make its way to her. The chemistry on that team just seemed off.

too many egos on last year's team and Poole got all pissy when she thought she deserved to start and get more minutes
that had to be what the locker room blowup was about

Van Lith's defense was not very good against high level teams LSU played and her volume shooting was not a good fit for the LSU offense that needed to spread the ball around more

it was probably best for both parties that she moved on and with the NCAA selection committee I would not doubt LSU and TCU are on a collision course in the NCAA tourney

To be able to successfully play here, she had to be in as good a condition as she possible could be. To have a foot injury, plantar faciatis, at the beginning of the season was a devestating injury for her. It badly hurt her conditioning and she wasn't able to get separation on offense and was getting blown by on defense against top point guards.

I wish her the best, she gave maximum effort at all times. I was hoping she had stayed here and got in tip top condition.

she was very good before, and after LSU, so the one common denominator is LSU. Team was full of drama last year, for sure....and mostly by a couple of players.

Too many people in the stands and she got nervous. She can hide at TCU with limited people in the crowd.

Why do you continuously reference Angel Reese to validate your point? HVL thrives when the pressure is off. Although she was pushed into the point guard role, she struggled because it wasn't her preference. The experience at TCU is nowhere near the level of competition in the SEC. Just take Jack Bech as an example—he's now performing exceptionally well, while his time at LSU was less impressive.

Good player, bad fit.

And most of the "chemistry problems" last season were due to Reese wanting to be Magic Johnson instead of the Dennis Rodman role where she's an elite player.

The level of opponent was much better at LSU.

Talent level of herself and the people she was playing against. She doesn't have fast twitch muscles, therefore she wasn't quick off the dribble nor explosive. Liked her but those are the facts.
