Yep. When’s the last time a rookie was the best player at their position?

Stupid click bait.

Washington went 4-13 last yr. Now 8-5 and about to lock up a post-season spot with JD5 sporting a 99.4 qb rating.

I’m sure firing their coach and their scoring defense going from dead last to upper half of the NFL has nothing to do with it either

It's insane that a rookie TE is 4th in receiving yards.

holy shite, i forgot he was a rookie, with all his catches, yards, etc, i thought he was a 2-3 year veteran te. Not the guy from Georgia who graduated in 04, and is playing as a rookie.

He is a great player. But he won’t come close to winning the ROY. The raiders are like 3-9. Enough said.

How about Burrow win MVP then? Tops in passing yds and TD's.

Burrow is currently 14th for MVP odds.

Tight end is one of the least important positions in football. Would we give ROY to the best long snapper?

4th in yards with 2 terrible QBs throwing to him also

Idk, he’s a tight end that’s force fed the ball for a really bad team. If Malik Nabers has 100 more yards than him this week they’ll have pretty similar numbers and usage. Nobody is bringing him up.

I’m both an LSU and Broncos fan, and I agree Bowers is ROY.

JD5 and Bo Nix have breathed new life into their respective franchises, however, and should both be applauded for coming in and adjusting to the speed of the game. Both will likely lead their teams to the post-season as rookies, also.

Well I guess this ridiculous opinion will answer whether or not Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes ever post here.

JD and Bo are playing great and having ROY-worthy seasons, but Bowers is clearly the guy IMO.

I see that and you see that. The voters though put to much stock in a teams record.

Meaningless award he's clearly the best rookie and that's all that matters. Hell he's the best TE in the league this year.

Ward or Sanders next season will have a lethal target to throw the ball to.

If we are going to open the award up to Tight Ends that don’t move the needle, how about we open up the award up to O Lineman? Tackles play a far more important role in the NFL than wannabe WR’s.
