Not a slam.
Just wondering about how much support he has behind the scenes.

The list of boosters that have the money to take Kelly out that dislike Kelly is zero.
The list of boosters that have the money to take Kelly out that like Kelly is also zero.
In other words, your question is meaningless.

I’m going to give him another year.

Are they really heavy hitter boosters if they would intentionally pull support for LSU just to spite the coach?

What heavy hitter booster? Based off how recruiting is currently going LSU doesn’t have any heavy hitters

Todd graves isn’t a booster?

He does donate but hes not a big booster whose steadily involved. Just gives to the PAC every now and then but doesnt really have a dog in the fight.

He wants to sell chicken tenders to other colleges as well

I talked the the others in the group. We like him. Just have to give it some time. Inherited a shite situation and in the midst of the NIL/transfer portal. We're going to build up our culture and hopefully get that natty in a couple years. If we don't, I'll stop paying my TAF fee.

LSU doesn’t have the whales that schools in Texas do. I’m sure it’s difficult for the ones we do have to pony up for recruiting when another mediocre year means they’ll be ponying up for another buyout.

Yea but until they start ponying up money for recruiting mediocre years are gonna be the new norm. I mean not even heavy hitters but fans in general donating to the nil collective. Places like ole Miss has thousands of fans donating monthly to their nil collective but LSU fans seem to be totally against donating

It’s gotta be an issue when they’ve been asked to cover $30+m on buyouts in the past seven years. I still think some of this is BKs unwillingness to expand his “salary cap”. Until then, LSU will always be the school used as leverage.
I think the difference between LSU and Ole Miss is that Oxford is a town that’s all in on the university and moving it forward.

Not anymore.

You will probably say the same thing next year after a 6-6 to 8-4 season. LSU is stuck for at least another 4/5 years. BK has zero accountability and can ride the Woodward Powerball contract.

The Big Boosters are the ones that gave the OK to offer him the LSU job
and pay him big money. They also let SW give him that long term contract.
The money people knew the situation that O left LSU in and understood
it would take time to get it going.

they are probably thinking if we fire him after yr 3 not only are we going to have to pay 60-70 million dollars in doing so but who in their right mind is going to want to come here without a similar contract. We aren't firing a guy and bringing in another guy for half the money or without a similar buyout type of contract...sorry but the agents run the show now. So what are the options? Who are the can't miss coaches?

LSU heavy hitting boosters would sit in the student section at Texas.

I never said fire him. I was just wondering about support and if everyone was on the same page.
