Not often is the much higher seed also the universal sentimental favorite, but that’s the case here.

I haven't seen much on John Curtis but have heard they are pretty tough. Have to be to get to the semi-finals.

ETA: This year is what I mean.

Maybe but at his age every deep playoff run could be J.T.’s last

Keep thinking that - Central is a lot better than people think and have only gotten better as the season has progressed.

Go Boothville-Venice, Buras, Port Sulphur now known as South Plaquemines!!! I started my coaching career down there in 1987... loved my 8 years "down tha river!"

Part of me will always be sad those distinct schools with a lot of history have been combined into one.

However, South Plaquemines is still a force, and a showdown in the Dome against Haynesville will seem like the good old times.

ASH playing Byrd last week will be helpful for ASH. My thoughts are ASH wins a competitive game. JC looks a little less dynamic than Byrd with a QB that doesn’t run it as well but can throw it a little. Defensively look sound, so big plays won’t be easy.

Even when I was down there, there was always talk of consolidating those 3 schools, but each town wanted no part of it. Katrina forced their hand because there weren't enough students to rebuild and run all 3. Boothville-Venice was the only building that survived and it's an elementary now. They have played some very good football since consolidation.

ASH got run up and down the field by Acadiana in their scrimmage. The Trojans are going to have to score every time they get the ball.
