My buddy says “BR Pluckers shut down”

Said he heard from a friend of a friend. Any truth?
Eta: I’m surprised the 2 BR locations lasted as long as they did. Bar food, crazy expensive menu prices, and terrible service.

There’s like 35 Pluckers locations

I'm a former Pluckers though and through baw. Moved to Arkansas in 2020 and came back in 2023.
Pluckers from 2012 to 2019 was a ride like no other. Since right before I moved it has been a disaster. Hoodrat service and hoodrat servers.
The quality of the food has even dropped big time.
Pour one for a once legendary establishment.
Spicy ranch fries TYFYS

Moscone ruined that place.

Quality and service have plummeted. Not surprising

The bluebonnet locations employees were always extremely rude and border line racist towards whites, based on there reviews and personal experience

Nothing on google yet.

The whole franchise? The one by the mall? The one near campus? Either way, I think people are starting to realize that you can go to other places, spend around the same amount and get better food.
In late Spring I had to go to lens crafter on a Saturday afternoon, which is in the mall. It took longer than expected and I wanted to watch the LSU baseball game so I went to the closest place.. Pluckers. It was about 3:30PM. Went inside and there was a sign "wait to be seated". There were maybe 3 or 4 tables that had people. No one was in the front, it took about 5 mins for someone to come sit us down. Doesn't sound long, but when its not busy at all you expect to be seated right away. But whatever.. No big deal.
I was watching the game so I am not sure how long it was, but it took a little while for the waitress to come and get our drink order. Again, I am watching the game, but it took long enough for our drinks that I started thinking "where the hell are our drinks?". We are waiting to order, I see our waitress go out to her car and sit there for a good 5 mins, come back in and tend to another table. Evidently whoever the manager was didn't give a frick.
I ordered the Larry Bird Chicken sandwich. I ate most of it, but it wasn't that great. Its a chicken sandwich. it should be pretty simple, but it was a little on the almost burnt side. I forgot the price, but I remember thinking "there are a lot of other places I can go and get a much better meal for cheaper". So frick em.

I feel like there was always an hour wait at the one on Nicholson. Loved me some Bakers Gold sauce

Management doesn’t care. The hosts and hostesses who are supposed to greet you at the door are normally playing on their phones…
If that’s my place, ya fiya’d.

Yeah this is pretty much the one by the mall. Ive been to the one closer to campus a few times and it was decent, but that was years ago.

The Bluebonnet location always looked dirty and had the cheapest furniture. I wouldn't be surprised if it was that one.
The Nicholson location has generally been busy and they allow for late night hours to bring in that added revenue.
At this moment Google says they're open sooo

I went a few months ago when I was in BR for nostalgia reasons. It was my go to place in 2011 and I lived off Burbank. It was honestly the biggest waste of $15 I've ever spent.

Bluebonnet was amazing when it first opened
Mid 2010s everything went downhill, after Covid even worse. Bluebonnet first then eventually Nicholson went down too.
Pluckers was my favorite place in the world but I'm not going to wait over an hour for my food to eat there. It was a strictly take out meal for me between 2020-2023.
