LSU can run the fb consistently. It will be the same thing next year. Nuss will be the same QB without a run game. One could make the argument Nuss would regress next year if LSU can't run the fb. He also has to have talent on the outside. If Hilton can stay healthy, LSU should be able to stretch the field. Anderson and co. should be fine in the slot, etc. Burrow and JD were special. Nuss ain't that guy. You can win with him; but, he has to have help in the run game.

JB and JD both had 2 first round draft picks they threw to. Nuss doesn't have the same quality of receivers.

Nus first year stats exceed the first year stats of both JB and JD

pretty sure Nuss has won us several games this season with subpar wr play, sub par running game, and sub par defensive play. For a first year starter with a first year SEC play caller, id say Nuss has gone above expectations, except those idiots that think he should be 20/23 for 400 yards and 4 tds every single game with 60 yards rushing. The entitlement of this fanbase is absurd.

I expected to come in this post and see you missed this point but you are spot on. There is also the possibility that we get another guy like Hilton too.
JD had Nabers and Thomas

LSU can run the fb consistently.

It’s not that you’re wrong. You’re absolutely right. But that’s exactly what HAS changed these past two games.

If Nus could pull it every now and then and show some wheels that would also help.
Playing scared gets a QB hurt.

If Nuss can cut some of the turnovers and be more effective on the deep shots he will be very special next year. He needs a true WR1. If M. Taylor leaves hopefully T. Green can step up as well. He’s got to survive the first several games while the line is trying to gel.
