But I have seen:
1. The TV Show - shite show and they screwed his character
2. The movie has been rewritten/reshot, what, 3+ times now?
3. I again, have no faith in Disney.
I have no problem saying the movie is great if it is.

Yes, he is a good actor. I like him.
and by the way, the culture warrior people you are making fun of are obviously starting to have an affect on Disney and these Marvel movies (slowly).
Think about "when" they wrote this show. "When" the shot it" and why they are all of a sudden doing a bunch of rewrites and reshoots.
Hint hint, seems like they are being held accountable by the people that want to see good characters and good movies. We'll see if they really want to turn everything around.
Last, I truly hope this movie blows people out of the water.

this could go either way though.
Back to the Future also had a bunch of reshoots, as well as Star Wars ep 3 and Rogue One
Also, Aliens.
but I will be taking a wait and see approach with this movie, i'll probably wait til it hits streaming to watch anyway

Well, he may not have super powers, but he is combat trained from the military. He's hardly a regular joe.
It just sounds like he more akin to Batman. Gadgets and training vs super powers.
At least I hope they make it work like that.

They had him doing a landing that created a sonic boom in the trailer. That's some combat training.

I think I read that his new suit is vibranium from Wakanda - which means they'll at least have a built in reason for him not getting pulped by superpowered people and his knees not shooting straight up through his skull the first time he lands.
