Wednesday's thoughts on Tuesday regarding Jack Smith.

1) I usually agree with Mike Davis. He thinks that Jack Smith should be prosecuted under the theory "conspiracy to violate rights" statute, bc that was the statute used against Trump in some of Smith's election cases.
I disagree. For two reasons: (a) prosecutors (like presidents) have immunity from prosecution; and (b) more importantly, legitimizing this bullshite legal theory will do nothing to end lawfare forever.
What should happen to Smith? He needs to be disbarred and unemployable. His license should be gone in any state he currently holds it, and he should be disbarred from litigating in Federal Court in all fifty states. Any accrued federal retirement should be revoked, any pay he earned from participating in this miscarriage of justice should be disgorged. His security clearance should also be revoked, permanently. His name and reputation should be ruined.
2) Trump's messaging on the dismissal should be that the cases were dismissed bc they had NO MERIT, as opposed to "they were dismissed bc he won the election."
These legal theories need to be dead and buried. Perhaps by declaratory judgment? Or by Civil Suit by POTUS, or other victims of this lawfare against the Federal Government.
There are many ways to punish the guilty in this lawfare shennanigans - but prosecuting them on the same bogus crimes I do not believe is one of them.

I might add a public hanging was once the penalty for treason

Jack has too many friend in positions to make this happen that will not hold him accountable.

Does DJT pardoning himself in 2028 get him out of everything except the state case?
Can he appoint someone to re-open them, then dismiss with prejudice? That would involve some wild conflicts, I guess.

He's quite wealthy from what I understand so being unemployable is not a big deal. But who does all that you suggest? Is it at the state bar level or is it some federal entity that would exercise all you that stuff? Either way, I'm OK with your plan.

I agree with targeting the IC, but I don't think Smith should get a pass. I bet within his circle, he hasn't suffered any humiliation, in fact.... he's probably seen as a hero. Smith should be dragged thru the same public shite show he put Trump thru.
It's inexcusable. Whether or not he has immunity from prosecution, I don't know.
Again, he should not get a pass.

If he was illegallly appointed, as some have said, they yes, he should be prosecuted since he accepted the appointment. He spent $50 million of taxpayer's money for a personal vendetta. That's fraud in my book.

He was involved in a conspiracy to interfere in the 2024 election. It was an insurrectionist plot. He and all his liberal cronies need to be charged and tried in a district that is 96% pro Trump. That them face the same kind of jury pool that Trump faced.

It's my understanding they were not "dismissed" but dropped, "temporarily" due to the fact that a President (to include a President-elect) cannot be prosecuted.
And it's been reported on a few propaganda sites that they can very much be taken back up in January of 2029.
