My Ping driver is so forgiving it makes me think about the Ping irons.
Anyone use and or have thoughts?

Ping irons are one of those you love them or hate them. There’s no in between. I’m not a Ping guy, but others swear by them and won’t play anything else.

I think it has to do with the shape of the sole.

I have been a ping man since I bought my first set of name brand zing2 irons. You cannot go wrong with them with all the different models. Nowadays, you can get everything from un believable forgiveness to a players tour player iron. cannot go wrong.

I am not a ping guy. However, I purchased a new set of Blueprint S this year and I’m really digging them. Super consistent and all around great irons. I have no complaints.

No shot I would hit the drivers though. They are fugly

I've had my i230's for almost two years now and since then I've slowly bought more Ping clubs because I was super happy with the irons. Have the G430 driver and the icrossover 4i.. probably will be getting the S159 wedges after the 1st of the year

I find the i230's pretty damn forgiving for being a players iron..

I have the ping i530 irons that I got fitted for earlier this year. I absolutely love them. My handicap has dropped a few points and the irons are much longer than my buddies irons. I had the callaway x2 hot before this and was hitting my 7iron around 170. I am hitting my ping 7iron around 195 now. I played golf today and hit my 5iron around 220. These clubs are crazy long.

I have a TM Sim2 driver and will probably be upgrading to the new ping driver when it comes out early next year.

I’m a ping fan boy now.

I have owned the i20s and another set several years back that I don’t remember the model. Pings get the job done and the cosmetics of the clubs hold up better than most, but I was never satisfied with the “feel” of the clubs.

I have not gone back so they may have improved the feel over the last 10 years.

I used to move lots of clubs. I pretty much had an equipment problem. Over the years, I went through a few sets of Pings including going through the detailed fitting process once. I always ended up selling them. The reason was hard for me to articulate. I always felt like they had no soul. I guess it was a feel/sound thing.

Then, I started shopping by shaft and not head when I found out how much I loved the Modus3 105s. Found a deal for some i200s. These may be my favorite irons of all time. Not the longest, but the feel is there and I have never been more accurate.

Meh.. it's a matter of opinion.. I tried the the zx7's not too long ago and gained minimal yards and lost spin compared to my i230's . The feel wasn't bad but not it's not something i would have switched irons for..

Once you get into players category irons I feel like you're just splitting hairs when comparing them..

That is correct. The 14 year old 7-iron x2 hot had/has a 30 degree loft with old technology, so the 1 degree difference isn't going to make that much of a difference.

I have the G425 irons. I like them alot and they are very forgiving. You have to get used to the offset at first but once you adjust they are smooth to hit. I will say that as I have gotten better I want to move away from them. Would like something that gives me a little more distance.

After doing some research the pings are super clunky looking.
I got m1’s right now. Just want to level up! Suddenly I have had them like 5 years.

Which ones were you looking at? The i530 are not clunky looking at all.

Ok that’s pretty nice.
Not sure I could handle those. I’m a 80s mostly 90s kind of golfer.
