Karlo is dominating the G-League

Why is he even down there? Karlo has a roster spot and is in the gleague. While Jemison, 2 way player, is getting backup big minutes on the team. Nothing makes sense on this team at times. Meanwhile our former starting center Theis is completely out of the rotation.

I'd have him in over JRE. My only logic is he must be totally lost on what we want to do defensively and willie said get this dude the frick

I mean to the point he couldn’t even get preseason minutes? I don’t know Jemison hasn’t been some amazing defender. I think Willie has his favorites at times. Its apparent guys like JRE and Jemison- try hard guys- are more Willie Green favorites. They might be defenders too but what this team needs is offense- Karlo has shown he can give that. Lets see if they bring him up- I doubt it though.

With Willie defensive awareness is 100% the reason. He probably also views him as duplicative of Theis and would choose Theis 10/10 because veterans understand what the coach wants them to do. Karlo will get there, but he's got a lot of players in front of him that Willie trusts more.
Until that changes he should stay with the Squadron getting reps.

He is clearly too good for the GLeague. There are a lot of players that have been too good for the GL but not really good enough for the league, though.

I think one of Karlo or Jemison needed to be with the Squadrons due to need at the position. Willie picked Jemison over Karlo. It's a Willie thing. I don't believe Griffin intended on developing him with the Squadrons last season and signing him this off-season for him to rot in the gleague all season.

When Zion returns, then I expect Jemison to go back to the Squadron. That would be when to expect Karlo back with the Pelicans. I also think that Theis will get back in the rotation at that point.
Until then, we need strength and size inside, and Jemison provides that.

I still find it hilarious that we have benched Theis and now the debate is between Jemison and Karlo for backup minutes to our RC Missi. I still remember Griff at media day spewing bullshite on how great Theis is and his great play in the Olympics. The guy is racking up DNPs after 11 games lol

Griff saying the standard blah, blah isn't a story. No one really thought that Theis was a great center. Lots of us thought that he was a great fit with Zion. With Zion not playing, I'm not surprised that Theis is riding the pine.

I don’t think he did anything when Zion played either. Im just tired of the constant lies and misevaluation of talent. I mean they thought he was good enough to be the starting center- why would they think that??

What are you talking about? After whiffing hard the first 2 years the teams has unearthed talent at a pretty ridiculous rate that usually only happens with good teams that can plug in role players and only need them to star in their role.
