Another I'll mention is Iverstine Butcher. They have rotating proteins, two per day, you pick your protein and 3 sides. Everything I've had there has been good. Another worth a mention would be Bergeon's City Market.

Always been curious about this place. Is it a traditional plate lunch set up?

Iverstine's is the best plate lunch in the essen/bluebonnet area for sure. Ronnie's used to have a serious plate lunch back in the day, it's too far of a drive now.

Bergeron’s on Jefferson has good plate style lunch. Reasonably priced as well. Iverstine’s is good too.
