I am really looking foward to this show. I hope it doesn't disappoint. The Dune Movies set a high standard.

This has great potential. I've seen a few warning signs, but I want to really give this a good watching no matter what. The production from the trailer and preview looks good. Strong cast. We'll see.

You may already be aware of this but keep in mind this story leans heavily on the Ben Gesserit back story (If I recall correctly) which is all about da women...

I mention this because it is a legitimate part of the Dune Story line... We will see what they do with it... and yes I am looking forward to it.

Doubtful.
It’s Brian Herbert and KJ Anderson.

I read that it originally had a subtitle: The Sisterhood.

It seems they have a bit of immunity from criticism if they stray from the source material since nobody wants to admit that Brian’s books are worth adapting.

No, it really is. Chapterhouse spent a great deal of time on them as did Heretics.

10,800 years before Paul and the technology and clothes didn’t change at all over time? Pretty ridiculous

HBO should hire you as their futuristic culture and fashion expert.

Loved it.

This is how you write a female-centric show.

That ending. Holy shite.

Given the source material that’s a valid storyline.

It’s 100% possible to make a “girl power” show or movie as long as you do it correctly and don’t go ham fisting the story into one big commentary on how men are bad and women aren’t.

I’m hoping the fists are not hammy and it’s just a badass story about Dune Jedi who happen to be women, which is what it should be considering how they are portrayed in the book. FTR I only read the first two books.

I enjoyed it as well. They nailed the feel of the BG and their machinations.
