About 30 seconds into the fight…

Paul decided if he hit him hard he might actually kill him. He tried to make it look okay but in the end, he didn’t want to hurt him.
Part of my youth just died.

I think you’re right. Didn’t want to humiliate him either.

I agree. Could’ve hurt Mike pretty bad. Mike knew it, too

No. The plan all along was to dance and dodge
Then count the money to the bank
Then count the money to the bank

Or he didn’t want to hit him too hard and actually piss Tyson off. It would have been friendly up until the point that it wasn’t.

Tyson clearly looked his age..I was rooting for him too. He really looked like he might break his hip if he tried to throw too hard of a punch.

Mike gave it a good shot especially in the first and second. But he was done for. Jake could have easily knocked him out, but he had a lot of respect for him, as you can tell

I don’t think so. Tyson’s legs were nonexistent after about the first 60 seconds.

We were fooled by the small clips of his training. Good marketing.
Love you though, Mike.

I saw Tyson pass on a body shot that would have folded Paul in half and knew the whole thing was scripted. RJJ was even like, “wow, Mike missed one there!” Did my dumb arse still watch? Yep.

The guy had to postpone the fight because of an ulcer flare up
I don’t know why I expected this to go any different. Mike looked really fierce when he was training.
To be honest I thought they would stage a KO, this fight was definitely not staged unless Mike just knew he would lose and told Jake Paul not to kill him

Am I the only one who wasn't fooled? I've been saying from the start that there's no way a 57 yo man can competitively box a 27 yo. And literally every single person I told that to thought I was crazy. Everyone. Grown up, intelligent, logical men from work and church all genuinely believed that Tyson would go out there and knock this kid out. "He only needs one round", "it only takes one punch", "old man strength ", "have you seen his training videos?", those were the typical responses I would get. It was definitely a genius marketing plan. I think Mike Tyson was such a dominant force during my youth and most of us men want to think we "still got it" so it was a bit of wishful thinking mixed in with some nostalgia and just a pinch of racial divide and suddenly every man in America (and many abroad) wants to see this fight. Genius
Eta: no doubt Tyson would have destroyed Paul (or anyone else) in his prime. But father time is undefeated.

I enjoyed it. Grew up watching MT and was a huge fan. Props to both fighters last night. As others have said, Paul could have destroyed Mike from 3rd round on. I’m 52, can’t imagine doing that shite at 58 against a 27 year old. I’d have brought a ninja sword with me or a gun to fight a 27 year old

The first 15 seconds they hugged.

Tyson barely threw punches. He would have killed Jake.
