This win is bigger than many think.
A. Sets the tone for the season
B. Big confidence booster for the team
C. This is a quality win that is looked at hard when you’re trying to play your way into the tourney. K state is usually a 8-9 seed most years in the tournament and this looks good on the resume of come March we are on the bubble

Yep.

Get at least one at the Greenbrier and beat FSU and SMU, and this team will be in good position entering SEC play

Especially to control the entire second half. Every time they tried to punch back, LSU punched even harder.

Gotta clean up the turnovers and some ill advised passing, but I don’t want to nitpick in a double digit road victory.

Both are picked to finish in the bottom half of the ACC. FSU is always big and athletic, but rarely the most offensively skilled team. They’ve taken a step back in recent years, but it’s too early to draw any meaningful conclusions.

SMU is completely new from top to bottom both with their roster and HC (the former USC and Florida Gulf Coast HC). They haven’t played anyone good yet so the jury is still out

Just catching highlights on YouTube but Cam Carter looks like he will be a steady, complete player for us. Also, really nice to have Collins, Chest, and V. Miller coming off of the bench. Collins was 5-5 FG, 2-2 FT for 12 points in 22 minutes of play on the road against a good, consistent tourney team. Chest had 13 rebounds to go with 5 points. V Miller had 15 points.

Very encouraging win. With a few less LSU turnovers, it could have been a 20 point win. Athletic, tough looking team in that game.

Exactly! Tigers came out the gate fast, on the road, and never let up. They played up-tempo, shot well, and smothered them on D in the 1st half. As you noted, every time KS tried to close the gap in the 2d half, McMahon and Co had an answer. OFF is coming from multiple players and they have a very nice rotation with contributions from the bench. This team's best BB is still ahead of them.

Carter is the mold for any player you want in your team. He’s the kind of player that makes people love college Bball.
