Fact of fiction? I say Nuss and Underwood split time next year

Assuming the Underwood commitment sticks I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be getting snaps early and often to get him on the field

He should definitely have a package next year without a doubt. Perriloux was awesome as a change of pace running that option getting his feet wet in 07 regular season then was able to step in and whip UT to get us to the NC game. Underwood will be even better because his heads screwed on straight and he's focused.

I generally believe the “if you have 2 QBs you don’t have 1” BUUUUT this is the exact situation where it has worked.
You have a olde QBs who is your QB1 and maybe isnt a threat to run, and a younger more athletic guy who comes in to give an option look.
also if we lose 3 games and Nuss looks like he has hes just gonna get benched.

He’s a top 2 round draft pick this year and you are coming up with a scenario where we bench him if he comes back. This board never ceases to amaze.

I think they absolutely should. I don't know that Underwood will come in day 1 and be better than Nuss cause that's tough for a true freshman. But I think ultimately he will be better so you need to let him get out there and play and take the reigns as soon as it's clear that he's the better option whenever that may be.

Then he is gone. Doubt he is getting a higher draft selection staying for what may be a losing season next year.
