How do you turn down 10 million as an 18 year old kid.

Maybe we’ve offered him almost that much.

I really hope so. Losing Underwood would destroy our class and QB outlook. We have no big prospects for 2026.

It says over 4 years, so it’s not quite as dumb as it sounds, but still seems very desperate. They are also giving every qb they do after from now on a number that they will be expected to hit.

How can you say no to 10 million dollars in high school. Wouldn’t blame him for taking it

It is desperate. I think this bad PR for Michigan.
If he flips I don’t think we even need to take a QB in this classz
Hurley wouldve been a top 5 qb

2.5m a year.

We reportedly have something worth 5m.

He isn't staying 4 years in college I don't think. I'm sure we can match it, not sure we have to or want to. That's absurd money.

No way. His stock was going way down due to terrible accuracy issues.

i don't believe this in the least bit, his accuracy was just so-so his senior year.

If this is even remotely true, then the kid should just take it. It is extremely hard to pass up on that kind of guaranteed wealth as an 18 year old when the future is so unknown and he would not have to relocate away from his family. Couldn't blame the kid either.

Michigan has a ton of money.

Underwood is a generational talent in state. If I were them I would hire a new OC too.

I hope the kid ends up at LSU but 10.5 million dollars at 18 seems insane to pass up.

Unless Hurley has drastically improved since high school since he has been on campus I don’t see that happening.

It was downright bad.

Mike Leach used to say that's the one thing you really just can't teach. It can be marginally improved and certainly you can improve the % by giving them easier/shorter passes, but the ability to throw accurate passes is really hard to teach, you have it or you don't.

Their OC has a 3 year 3 million dollar contract

That's not how this works. You are worth what the market demands for you, not what a previous market demanded for a previous player
