Gilbert's 9 assists were the most for a Tiger in a game since Morris had 9 in the 2023 national championship game.

Team will have a chance to win it all - we got a bench and are athletic.

They looked a little bit cleaner and faster today than the first 2 games. Also really good to see bench players scoring points. It was hit and miss 2 years ago and almost nonexistent last year.

Our 4 transfers: Both Gilbert and Sheppard are quick and can score. Wilson is good PG and can score too. Wolfenbarger is starting to settle in at post position. Team getting better each game.

I'm glad that Kim is scheduling these easy games early on because of all the new players. I think in a month, you'll really see them gel. On a sidenote, reading the report of the game this afternoon on ESPN, one of the quotes says this................

quote:

Because Baton Rouge-area schools accounted for the majority of the crowd of 11,095 on LSU’s annual Field Trip game, the decibel level in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center was over 110 most of the day, comparable on the decibel level chart to a loud rock concert.

Game Recap

I don't know why, but I can't stop laughing at that!

Those little kids are always loud at this game, but I didn't realize they were THAT loud.

Yeesh, really - what's the point in playing at team of this level?

No different than LSU football playing South Alabama. I went to school there in the early 2000s and they didn’t even have a football team.

These out of conference games are meant for Kim to see what she has, work on weaknesses, build confidence and chemistry before the slate of straight SEC slant beginning in January.

WBB has a HUGE drop off in talent. Its not like Men CBB where mid majors and cmall schools can field a competitive team. The big schools get the best players and dominate. Its just the way it is. I guess the drop off from the best girls to the mid level girls is larger than the drop off for men. Its really the only explanation.

Hilarious, the players and LSU announcers calling the game said the kids screaming sounded like a bunch of whistles.

I was at this game it was the loudest game I have ever been to any sport any venue. I left with ears ringing and a headache. I went as a chaperone for my kids class. it was just kids being allowed to scream at the top of their lungs.

The team looked go though, lot of positives coming off the bench as well. Kim normally sticks to her 5-7 players but i think this years team may be a little deeper with talent she trust
