I'm taking legal action against the Office of Motor Vehicles

I don't post a ton but some folks may remember this thread which was quite a bit of fun.
Stolen Motorcycle Recovery
Well, it's as if the world conspires to plop these things at my feet. The latest entity to try to somehow prove a point at the expense of someone minding their own business (me), is our lovable Dept of Motor Vehicles.
They have refused to issue my son his Learners Permit.
You see, my son doesn't have a social security number. I've mentioned this on here before and was called an insane person, an idiot and a number of other things. But... there is no requirement or law for anyone, anywhere to sign up for social security. It simply doesn't exist, despite what you might belive. Not only that, It's is against the law for any state agency, employee or any federal agency or employee to refuse to let you enjoy any right or privelege because you don't have one.
Why doesn't he have a Social security number? If he want's to get one, he's perfectly free to do so. I'm not signing my son up for a federal investment program that offers horrible returns that he can't opt out of, ever. If he wants to do this, he's more than capable as an adult.
The DMV has chosen to ignore both state and federal law and refuse my son anyway. I tried to work with the DMV for the last 6 months. They have chosen to ignore me and just expected me to go away.
My lawsuit was filed this afternoon.

You can’t expect the government to play ball if you don’t play by their rules.
That’s not how this country works

Good luck getting a decent job without a SSN.

Uh, pretty sure you still have to pay SS taxes even without a SS number
If that isnt the case I agree with you, I dont want a number either.

Isn’t a SSN needed for a job for tax purposes? You’re making your son’s life complicated just to make a point he didn’t ask you to make. I mean yea the dmv is shite but this is dumb.

Did you file pro se?
I don't think it's advisable to discuss a pending civil suit, even on an anonymous message board...

This 1000%. People like you crack me up. “Sticking it to the man” by creating hardship and roadblocks for your child. And then you run here to tell people about it. As bad as these Tik Tok libs crying on social media about Trump winning. Just fishing for attention.

Only on certain types of income. Also this isn't a true statement even for hourly employees. Railroad employees don't pay social security taxes.

Maybe but he isn't currently employed. I'm also not 100% sure it's required to be employed.
I was told by basically everyone that you have to have one to get a passport. I found out that one isn't true. He has a passport and doesn't have a social security number.

It's not filed pro se. The states violation is so egregious I'm not worried about it.

You actually found a lawyer to take this case?

I thought this as well…..also what’s the odds the judge just throws it out….gotta be upwards of 80-90%

You sound like the person who complains about everything in life and sue’s everyone for everything to sustain living… no better than the people with SS#’s living off the government for free.
You might as well be a personal injury lawyer with a billboard on I10.

Also fluent in Bird Law but he dabbles with SS issues.

I'm curious why you would think that.
This specific statement below is in 32:409.1
The department shall not deny any person a driver's license or a renewal if that person has not obtained a government-issued social security number based on Section 7 of Pub. L. 93-579 Section
This is exactly what the DMV is doing. How is that not relevant? It's also specifically against federal law as well.
