Hes coming for the department of education and therefore special education.

Special education is a federally funded program whereas, to my knowledge, regular education is funded by each state.
So by Trump stating he was abolishing the DOE, the lefty loons in the education, and specifically special education, fields are gaslighting that special education will disappear with the abolishment of the DOE. It won't of course as the funding will be turned over to the states like regular education.
As someone who works in special education in the public school system, I honestly always felt secure that my salary was federally backed, but ultimately I don’t see how this will change much of anything, unless the funds are squandered and positions are cut at a state/local level. However, special education isn’t going anywhere.

I’ve gone through many administrations with my autistic son. Obama nearly bankrupted me with what his policies did to treatment costs. Trump did many great things for autism treatment first 4 so I had zero clue what they were talking about.
My son is at a private clinic/school so either way they aren’t raining on my Trump parade
