The republican party has undergone a major identity shift in the past decade. The democratic party has mostly stayed the same but only worse in the same decade.

Maybe the last ten years, but remember that it was only 2008 when both Clinton and Obama affirmed that marriage was properly between one man and one woman. Now the party says that if you identify as a non-binary space wookie, then you really are one and nobody can tell you you're not. Now members of the party self-identify as socialists. The current candidate campaigned on non-realized capital gains taxes and Soviet-style price controls.

The Democratic Party doesn't look much like the Democratic Party of 2008 and before.
