LSU MBB RUMOR: Tyrell Ward to redshirt and enter transfer portal in offseason

An anonymous source posted this to Twitter earlier....
Tyrell also missed the exhibition against Loyola and was confirmed by MM in a press conference that he would not be available for the opener against ULM. It is confirmed to not be injury related. McMahon refused to elaborate when asked further.
It's likely due to his role being reduced in the rotation.. Dji Bailey and Cam Carter taking up minutes paired with the strength of the freshmen probably played a huge part in this.
This is a big hit to the MBB team as Tyrell was the best shooter and a big contributor his past two seasons. He was poised to be one of the leading guys on this team. Unfortunate news. Hope it's not true.
