Flip a 3rd and 4th to a mid-late 2nd around the draft.

Use that 1st for more 1sts. No qbs in this draft worth it.

Would love a Chicago Bears like trade. Move back for a 7-10 1st this year and another 1st in 2026.

Get BPA and have two picks in next years draft.

Would prefer to trade with the Titans, Giants, or Browns.

Yep. Would 100% trade down from our first to get more picks. But that’s certainly not a terrible place to start a reload.

Saints need more second and third round picks in ‘25 and ‘26 given the cap situation next few years, the age of current roster and the lack of depth. A second round pick is one of the 33 - 64 best football players in college; third is 65-96. No draft pick is a sure thing, but if your organization isn’t intent on messing it up the draft and wasting resources (like we did with Trautman), you can build very good rosters by accumulating 2nds and 3rds and making sound selections.

No we should sell sell sell. That includes draft picks. Sell at least 2 of those 2 3rds and 2 4ths for future 2nds and 3rds. The cap isn’t getting any better anytime soon. Suck hard for 2-3 years, draft lineman, then in 3-4 start cashing in on the players and picks you traded this year. If I was GM I would future pickmax to the extreme especially with our cap. Pick a lineman in the first round then trade everything for future picks for at least 1 draft. Then you can either draft more in a good draft or keep send picks to get more picks in the future

Learn to trade back

Trade late round picks for higher round picks the following year, instead of burning them on players that won’t make a roster.

Precisely why we won’t be able to trade back most likely. Saints need a QB as bad as anyone and we wanna trade back. Everybody else knows this is a weak draft too, I doubt anyone trades up in this draft but I guess we will see.

A bad year to be bad unfortunately.

It’s just as likely that we draft 7-10 than trading back to 7-10. There are a lot of really bad teams out there. And a few are on our schedule.

Nussmeier. He needs some improvement, especially on the deep ball, but he can make throws and LSU hasn't had their deep threat receiver all year.

Way to early to be so glum. Hell let Pro days get here Player shoot up all the time and teams love certain players. You can always make deals on draft day. Cheer up a bit Its a great Day in America AND Dennis Allen got fired AND we are making trades good for the future.

Don’t trust Loomis at all in this situation.

That’s fair

I was a big Lattimore fan so it is bitter sweet. I am happy about the move tho, we needed to do it. I’m glad we are finally resetting. Hopefully we can figure it all out and start hitting on these draft picks. Another 2017 draft would be awesome.

I think the Raiders would be one to keep an eye on. If we are a few spots ahead of them, they may look to trade up for their QB of choice.

Move down a few spots and take a first next year too. Hope it is another top 10 pick.
