Just going to have this be a running thread rather than clutter up the board. I’ll update the initial post with the best.
Cannon856 - 2nd ace
SECSolomanGrundy - DoD hits the pin
Barrister - partner holes out from 140
Pintail - 6yo son knocks in a 20 footer

Playing partner pured a 9i on #13 Carter Plantation from 140 out.....landed 2 feet in front of the pin, bounced once and rolled in. Beautiful Eagle.

Chip in par, immediately after I yip shanked previous Chip. Rolled in like a putt, 11th at Acadia National. Chili dog was fantastic

Needed a par on the par 5 18th at Metry today to break 90 (really good for me). Had about a 40 ft. chip to within a foot - tapped in for par.

Opened up with a solid birdie, which was one more than yesterday. Shot of the week (so far). #8 on legislator, left front pin, hit the approach just over the ridge leaving an insane 30 foot putt down the hill.
Hit the putt about 6 inches, then watched it crawl down the hill, broke left a foot, back to the right a couple feet. Hit the flag dead center and went in. Could take a hundred balls and try again and probably not make it again.

280 par 4 over water. Didn’t trust my driver and thought I could put my 7W in the neck before the green. Absolutely got all of the 7W and it went straight!! Tracked it at 235 yards and chipped in for Eagle. First one ever. Still looking for that ace!!

Hit my third from the trees on the left of the fairway on #13 at Beaver Creek right next to the pin. Starting walking towards the green and found another ball that was my actual ball. So I hit the wrong ball next to the pin. Proceeded to blade my real ball into the trees behind the green. I love golf.

First round in 3 weeks, had 170 with breeze slightly into me, pin behind a bunker about 10 ft on green. Hit 5 iron to 5 ft and made the putt.

I don’t get to play much real golf. So my best shot of the week came yesterday at the driving range. I hit the base of the pin from 115 yards away with a solid sand wedge (54 degree). I’ve hit pins on the range before, but usually it’s not the one I’m aiming at lol.

Muni today, last second decision to play because had clubs in car.144 back pin on 15, high cut 8 iron to 4 feet behind that bunker.
Missed putt, don't care because I played decent and I have sucked for months. 83

The last time I replied to the shot of the week thread it was this same home number 14 par 5 at Bayou DeSiard.
Hit decent drive into left rough. Skied second shot leaving me still 140 to pin on middle tier. Ball sitting on bare dirt still moist from rain with acorns all around. Hit a punch 8 iron that landed on middle tier and checked. Two putted for par.
Par is good for me on this hole because it turns into doubles and triples quick for me here.
Finished with a 75 which is my best round in two years.

Frequently the best shot isn’t the one that goes in the hole. I’ve had a punch out of the trees that ended up short of the green that left me a good chance for a par be the best shot.
Unexpected pars can really get a round going.

Proud dad post here. My son (6yo) nailed a 20 foot downhill birdie putt with about a foot of break. Perfect putt that I probably don't make but 1/20 attempts. Hits it then shows no emotion as it drops, meanwhile I've got my hand raised and Tiger style fist pump.
Then on the last hole had a similar putt a little flatter for birdie that burned the edge.

Off to a great start. Now you have someone to make putts in your scramble.
Congratulations

11/6 my local muni, Ridgewood Gold Course, #2 340 yd par 4, 2nd shot 130 yds from the cup, mid green flag. Landed a 9 iron front portion of green, but couldn't see where it stopped. Small rise from front of green to mid green. Expected the ball to be mid green. I walk to front of green and am confused, "where is it"...playing partner looks in cup...whatta you know. First eagle ever. Finished the round 42/48. Yeah I suck.

First step to your first ace. Ball isn’t afraid of that 6 inch drop.

I hit an absolute spicy fairway bunker shot on #18 at mossy oak.
145~ yards with a decent lip to get over, hitting to a very fast green with pin on the front and a big false front.
Pured it to about 15-20 feet and 3 putted to shoot 80

Today’s shot of the week (back issues so only one round) 1 under on The Judge going to hole 14. Tee shot right into the fairway bunker.
Adventures in bunkers ensued. One of which was thin and over the green into a bush. A couple chips later I have a 15 footer for a 7 that goes in dead center.
Salvaged the round. Ended up with a 74. If that hadn’t gone it I might have gone completely off the rails.

#12 at Texarkana CC. Hit my second shot on the par 5 just short of the green and it rolled in the thickest rough on the course. Steep slope that roles into a creek Grass covers your feet. Found my ball which is a rarity if you come up short. Had to hit it with my ball so far above my feet I had to make a baseball swing. Made a small baseball swing with my 56 to about 5ft and made the birdie.
A foot or two shorter on my second shot and I would have been in the creek with a drop zone that makes it tough to even bogey from or a bad baseball swing and I bury my ball in the bank and struggle to make 8. I'll take the birdie.

It seems like many, many putts for 79 don’t go in.
If same putt was for 82, dead center.
