We were. We went on a mad, meaningless dash at the end to win 8 games. And we will probably do it again.

I think we end up around 6-12 and draft in the 6-10 range. That should land us a good defensive lineman like Mason Graham, Abdul Carter or Nic Scourton. And Dennis Allen will be gone so maybe someone who is athletic and can rush the passer rather than a giant DE that just bull rushes. Maybe.

Thanks to Allen and Loomis, I’ve been slowly pulling for Washington more.

We are 100% doing it again. This is why anyone with a brain should want DA fired ASAP and not "waiting for the end of the season to get a better draft pick" ... there is a high probability he is retained if we win more than 4 games imo

The team isn’t badly coached. The team just lacks speed and talent. Feel free to blame that on the coaches/gm but in game we aren’t badly coached. We are an extremely slow team and soft up the middle defensively.
We have close to nothing at the rb position, Alvin Kamara is average but Saints fans think he’s Gods gift to football. Kendre can actually make guys miss when he has the ball but he can’t stay on the field. we have no receivers capable of creating explosive plays with the ball in their hands.
On defense we are just flat out slow. Combine that with being terrible at the defensive tackle position and Demario taking a step back. And you get what we have at runs defense currently. No pass rush whatsoever.
This team flat out just lacks impactful players. A bunch of solid guys but no game changers.
