Hard to say without seeing the team with Bryce Underwood and the defense next year.

I could “see it” in 2026 but if Nussmeier becomes a good QB, I could see it next year.

But that’s just what I could “see” as in its a possibility.

In all likelihood we won’t. National championships are extremely rare.

Too many variables. Does Nuss and some of the Juniors come back next season to try to build off this season and finish it off with a Title?

Does Underwood start the entire season? Does Rickie Collins start the season to not throw a True Freshman into the fire from the beginning?

Does Perk come back?

Too many variables but right now the '26 season seems like a good year. Next year could be but too many variables unknown on who is coming back.

Why not this season? Win out and let the rest fall in place!

AtM was the last growing pain.
Natty is this year.

I don't think he will.

The message from Shea Dixon via Matt Moscona is Michigan "matched" LSU. Matching is not enough, IMO, Michigan also has to also change their offense such that it is not a risk to Underwood's draft stock. Just dropping 2 draft spots is worth what he is being currently offered in NIL. History has proven LSU produces higher draft picks.

This is reasonable. The QB position and OL will be strong and the DL will be very strong.

Except the last 3 coaches at LSU all got one. It seems extremely likely that BK will get at least one

You won't win a NC with zero run game

I don't know that we will win it then, because obviously there are a ton of factors that go into that. But I agree that 2027 is probably the first year that we will have a legit chance.

2025 - Even if Nuss returns, we will be replacing a ton on offense. I just don't see it happening.
2026 - It's hard to win a natty with a first year starting QB.
2027 - Underwood with a year of experience, should have much better defensive talent, could definitely see us being a contender.

All of this could change instantly though. If Baker or Sloan were to leave obviously that could change things.
