Any former football players that you are suprised aren't on an NFL roster?

Admittedly don't follow the NFL, and especially not the rosters, all that closely. I do watch, but not enough to know defensive depth charts every year.

Was super duper suprised that Greedy Williams is currently a Free Agent.

Terrace Marshall

He was very dominant by the time he left here...but just never got anything going in Carolina and is sitting on a practice squad in Vegas now. I couldnt even tell you who most of the receivers are on that roster.

Cade York. I honestly thought he would be a top 10 kicker in the league by now and have a solid NFL career

This. Marshall in his last yr was like a pro assassin. He stepped on field for maybe 2-3, qtrs, got his 150and 2 tds, then went business decision sit down. I have no clue how he can't make it in the nfl.

I get nfl teams are obsessed with these 5'7 scat rb slot wrs , but he's a dude. Head scratcher for sure

His leg strength was not enough to consistently kickoff into the end zone. Although he was money on 50~55 yard field goals, I don’t think he could kickoff from the 35 and reach the end zone. NFL teams will not usually carry two kickers on their roster.

WRONG

He didnt make it because he missed some crucial kicks, got the yips and couldn’t shake them.

I think you are thinking of the wrong kicker Yorks problem isn't leg strength, he has been very inaccurate in the pros. Can't stay on an NFL team with 55% accuracy.

My bad. I’m getting up in age, so it’s quite possible that my memory has failed me again. So who was a fairly recent kicker, that I may be confusing Cade with? He was extremely accurate, but couldn’t put the KO into the end zone. Anyone remember? Thanks to 225Tyga & KTrain for setting the record straight BTW

Yeah it has nothing to do with his kick offs. He wasn't "money" on any field goals in the NFL, much less "money" on 50-55 yarders.

it cannot be because of ability(or potential of) or stature. I've wondered the same thing. Let's just say my dad is a retired coach and he says it has to be personality, work ethic or an injury that the NFL stays away from.

Agreed on Terrace Marshall. I long held the believe he was just a shade under Chase and Jefferson. Shows what I know.
