I actually participated in this poll. It was sent to me in a text message that linked to an online poll.

When I was in BR for the Ole Miss game, I couldn't believe the number of Ted James signs up and down Highland Road. I concede that he probably can't be any worse than Broome, but that doesn't mean he'd be a good mayor.

James would be a better mayor than Broom.

Granted that is a hell of a low bar.

As the poll suggests, that puts Broome back in. Because there are still plenty of "Republicans for JBE" out there fricking everything up.

At least he's campaigning on some issues that matter to white voters as well....crime, urban blight, litter, etc. These are all areas where Broome has failed miserably. Does he still want to build the light rail connecting LSU and downtown?

So an entire / specific race of people “ruin” a city for you? With that type of outlook, I’m guessing you moved to the LP?

Also, you realize EBR is 50 / 50, black and white right? Too many people of color for you?

Have a ball at the klan rally.

This is what I’m still debating. Who has the best chance to win a runoff.

i see tons of James signs in affluent areas. Why is the BR upper class inclined to vote for an Obama-wannabe?

The answer is there in your original post - it boils down to the fact that the ONLY way Broome wins is if she gets in a runoff with Sid. I understand he's a great guy and all that... but there is no way he can win with BR's demographics. What he can do is get is peel enough votes away from Ted James that he doesn't make the runoff.

Why do you think almost every notable Republic is holding their nose and endorsing James? Once you get past the "because they're RINO's!" and "they're TRAITORS!" excuses the answer is obvious: he's the only person that can take SWB out.
