With Adams out, who’s the swing guy?

Possibly Bo Bordelon. If not, maybe one of the freshmen.

Inside, Mubenga or Echols. Outside, Bordelon or Weston Davis.

This doesn't worry me. The players recruited and the coaching are in place.

Hopefully we have someone, because if not, we are going to be in deep shite next year with us losing 4/5 starters on the OL. Not to mention our top recs, top TE, and probably QB.

That is what sucks, or seemingly sucks. We will likely finally be very good on D next year, but what will we have offensively?

I think they really like Chester and Adams, so that’s 2. Gotta imagine Davis starts at 1 tackle. I think they like a few of the freshman/redshirt freshman and expect them to be ready with another year of development. But Kelly prefers his OL to be made up of older guys, so I expect him to get at least 1 or 2 from the portal.

I think we’ll be fine next year. It’s this year I’m concerned about. We’ve had really good injury luck on the OL for all 3 years Kelly’s been here. But I think most of y’all are right, there’s probably not a 6th guy that would come in no matter who would possibly go down. It would probably depend on who goes down.

Silver lining on Adams’ injury was it happened pregame. So they had to hustle to figure out an emergency plan for the Ole Miss game in case it happened and got to work on it all this week. Would have been a lot worse if it happened yesterday. But hopefully we stay healthy and this is moot. But gotta have a plan just in case, and with a week to prepare, I’m sure they do.

If its Bordelon hopefully they remember to bring his lineman jersey, since he is # 89 now.

Mandtgr - We've recruited the OL at an elite level the past 3 years. The only thing that is missing is time on the seat.

Taylor is a junior. Is he expected to be an early entry? Doesn’t seem like it to me.

He prob returns. Especially since his dad is an NFL legend so I doubt his pockets are hurting at all. Nuss is the one I’m 50/50 on bc although he has plenty of finances as well he could be a 1st round pick while Taylor will be a mid round pick.

Bryce Underwood

No offense to Underwood, but I'm hoping a TF QB isn't starting the year on the road at Clemson next year. Maybe that is just me, but I don't care how good he is, that is a tall task.

Hopefully Nuss will come back....maybe grab a good experienced tackle in the portal, have Chester back, and young guys stepping up. If we bring back Taylor, along with Anderson and Thomas....That's a good nucleus....wouldn't hurt to go grab another wr...as I'm not sure Sampson will work out or if he will even be here.

agreed, but again, WHY do we keep doing this to ourselves. That "time on the seat" shouldn't have to come on the road against probably a top 10 team, to start the year.

Bordelon although he's more of an inside guy. Possibly put Davis at RT and move Jones to left if Campbell got hurt. Best to just pray no one gets hurt.LOL

Look we get what you're saying

but you don't understand how good Underwood is... he wasn't ranked just the top prospect in this class... he's ranked the top QB prospect in like the last 10 years bro

Like better than Trevor Lawrence coming out of HS good

When the hell did LSU turn to QBU sheesh

I will bet the coaches are ready for next year and we will be fine, they have recruited some very talented linemen and the RBs should be great as well as the new QB

This is why LSU has struggled to maintain success like UGA or Bama. We hit every 4 or so years, but to be a consistent power, we have to recruit both sides enough to build some true depth. This is especially true on both sides of the line as it takes time in a S&C program for moster players to be ready to play there.

Of course, the whole dynamic has changed with the transfer portal and NIL. How do you keep young players to develop them? Glad this is someone else's headache.

Heard would have been such a solid backup guard. Can't believe our 6th/7th guy is wearing 89 and probably 40 pounds lighter than he should.
