So I leave this show running on Roku all day to babysit my bird when I'm busy because it's calm and lots of talking.

Today I got drawn in when it showed a little school girl that Albert had a crush on ringing the school bell with a creepy close up of an eyeball watching her from the trees with creepy arse music.

In the next scene she's walking home from school and wandered into the woods to pick some flowers when a creepy guy wearing a Saw mask and gloves comes up behind her and grabs her around the neck

She crawls to her front door hours later bruised, bloody, covered in dirt and clothes torn from being raped.

Her father is ashamed and tells her she can't tell anyone and blames her "you reap what you sow"

She finds out later she's pregnant and Albert tries to steal money from his boss to run away with her and marry her.

Turns out his boss was the rapist and snuck over to the empty barn she was hiding in after sending Albert on a wild goose chase.

Shes sleeping on the ground in the barn and it shows this freaky dude opening the door blurred on the background and creeping over to her ever so slowly. She wakes up as he grabs her and manages to knock his mask off by hitting him with a board.

Albert shows up as she's trying to run away by climbing a tall ladder in the barn and she falls to her death just as Charles shows up and shoots the killer in the back with a shotgun.

Watched this show all the time as a kid and I do NOT remember this episode.

I don't watch Albert episodes in the same way I don't watch Cousin Oliver episodes or Seven episodes.

I remember this one, it was traumatizing as a kid.

Wasn't the one who shot the rapist actually the girl's father (not Charles)?

Dated a girl in college and my first warning sign about her was finding out that her family got together each week to watch Little House on the Prairie.

The girls father shot the rapist.
The girl did not die.
She lost the baby.

I wanna know why the girl was about 14/15 and her dad was like, 80.

I do. The episode, I think, was named "Sylvia". Scarred me as a kid.

The girl playing Sylvia played a daffy UFO nut in Repo Man later on.

Well shite. I’ve seen every episode of Little House ten times at least and I don’t remember her dying. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

I thought he was the rapist at first but that would have been REALLY dark

I’ve got to watch this episode now on Roku. What’s the episode title or the season/episode?

ETA: Found it. Sylvia: season 7 episode 17 and 18

I do however remember being traumatized by the older sister going blind…

She was probably asking for it by wearing her dress above her ankles like a big city strumpet.

Wholesome shows were always doing this in the early 80s.

They advertised them as a "Very Special Episode" ("and now, a very special episode, viewer discretion is advised ").

Same time period, Natalie gets raped in Facts of Life....

Diff'rent Strokes had a Pedo episode where some old white guy tries to molest Arnold. It was this weird " public service announcement " era, where shows were apparently mandated to break from the laughs and do basically an Afternoon Special and they were always two-part episodes.
