BIL-Jac Liver based. He seems to like it and I supplement that with some raw chicken breasts or leftover rotisserie chicken at times.

We actually make ours, for last 5 years or so. We cook rice and add costco rotaissee chicken and a bag of frozen vegetables, some liquid vitamins if you want.

They never get sick etc anymore

dog food has gotten expensive enough that I feed about half homemade. Chicken quarters go one sale I and will stock up.

We have been doing the Raw Dog Food Diet for around 5 years now, due to the insane cost of commercial dog food. There is lots of information about the diet online, and on YouTube. Research it and draw your own conclusions. Our vet is shocked at the condition of our pup. We have converted all our family members, some friends, and now it has evolved into Dog Food making parties. We all seem to run low at the same time. Matter of fact we are having a party tomorrow, and will make over 100 lbs. of food. The cost of the raw dog food is a little cheaper than commercial food, provided you don't try to put a value on your labor. My wife (no pics) and I can make 50 lbs. by ourselves in 3-4 hours, and that includes cleanup.

Tomorrow it will be my youngest daughter (no pics), her husband, her best friend from college (I wish I had pics), and her husband. We'll be making enough food for two adult German Shepards, one Belgium Malinot pup (around 40 lbs), and one 30 pound male cocker. Much wine and beer is included. No tv in the kitchen so that is it until the food is finished.

Pro plan salmon and rice, 30/20 mix.

My older lab seemed to have a chicken allergy so we switched to Salmon when he was young. I switched to the 30/20 formula when my newer pup started on adult food (he was on puppy large breed chicken and rice as a pup).

No complaints with pro plan.

We make our own.

chicken
sweet potatoes
green beans
black eye peas
parboiled rice
diced tomatoes
carrots
cabbage
apples

Mix it all together and freeze in 16oz containers. We make about a month's worth at a time. It's an ordeal but I got tired of them scratching all the damn time and their hair falling out.

And, an OB bonus I can always eat the shite myself when it goes down.

Purina ProPlan lamb and brown rice has been good to our three. They get trimmings when I cut the blood lines out of fish and remove silver skin from deer and turkeys as sort of a little bonus. shite is getting more and more expensive though.

I feed 4Health Strive 30/20. It's has a better ingredient list than ProPlan, and is almost half the price.

I grind my own. 40lbs of chicken leg qtrs, 3 whole rabbits (I farm them), 5lbs chicken livers, 3lbs chicken gizzards and hearts, 5 large cans sardines, 12 farm fresh eggs shells and all.

Grind it in my Cabelas #42 meat grinder and mix. Store it in 1# tubs in the freezer.

Dog is a bit spoiled
