Specifically surrounding parents and coaches, not so much the kids.

In one of my sons 9U rec baseball league, we had a coach get in a shoving match with an umpire, and 3 seperate incidents of parents being kicked out of games.

We had a catcher injured on a play, and the other teams 3rd base coach waved in runners to score because no one was guarding home (9U rec ball)

Parent rushed the HS football field over a bad call, then proceeded to beat the hell out of the referee.
Fences went up around the field the next week.

10-12 year old lacrosse tournament, mom came out of the stands when her kid got high sticked or something benign. She attacked the other kid knocking him to the ground before other parents came flying off the sideline to stop her and pull her off of the other kid. Bizarre.

Deranged Marine, who had just returned from Vietnam, goes onto our Little League field flailing an ice pick. Umpire, a tougher Marine, forcibly subdues the Marine.

I learned as an adult that the Umpire actually restrained himself because the Marine had served heroically and honorably in Vietnam. I also believe that his issues were caused by a head wound.

The overall concept of travel ball esp in a city like Houston. Have a coworker who travels all over the south every weekend for 10 year old girls soccer.

Is there not enough 10 year old girls amongst the 12,000,000 people in Houston and surrounding areas to get a weekend game together? The whole concept just baffles my mind.

Recently some old friends of mine had a “signing day” for their 5 year old travel ball team. Had the kids sign contracts.

I was playing in a basketball tournament at Louisiana College back in the day. One team we played was an all black group I think from like Many or DeRidder. Anyway we played them and beat them. During the game their "star" really acted an arse and got a couple technicals called on him. After the game his coach threw him through a plate glass trophy case that cut him to pieces and he had to be taken by ambulance out of the gym. Wild shite.

A guy who we do business with travels all over for his kids TEE BALL. Travel tee ball. They went someone up north for the tee ball world series. I'm like wtf, the kids can't even hit a moving ball yet and you're traveling to play games. Are the other kids that also can't hit a moving ball in the area just so inferior in competition you have to go to numerous states to play worthy competition.

when I umpired in the early 90s., I had to call cops once, and send parents to the parking lot numerous times.

That pretty much settled the "my dad is tougher than your dad" debate you had some of your friends when you were younger.

You really need some new material. How about some originality?? y’all make fun of travel ball names for being repeated over and over but you do the same thing with the lame, corny jokes.

And no, my child’s name is not jaxxxxxon or brayleeh or any of that other lame shite you come up with

When my oldest was playing youth hockey a mom of one of his teammates followed the team into the locker room to berate my son at practice because my son checked her son “too hard”. I was an asst coach and was working with the goalie group after practice and wasn’t aware it happened for about an hour.

Two coaches walked in on it and pulled her out of the locker room. She ended up suspended from the facility for a year over it.

Back in high school our coach made us either coach or umpire in Little League
umpiring paid at least a little bit so I umped for a few years in a 9-10 year old league a fight broke out between the players and the parents and the coaches and some mom hit me in the back of the head with a baseball bat

But she swung like a girl and failed to catch me flush

The rest of the year those teams were forced to play with no fans

Had a Dad Coach get ejected from our 3/4 year old T-Ball games.............TWICE. For arguing with the umps........in T-Ball.............where the kids eat dirt and dont care.

The commish had to come and watch his games to make sure he didnt get out of control the rest of the year.
