Going to NYC in Decemeber
Any suggestion on a place to stay for a few nights would be greatly appreciated.

I always recommend the SoHo Grand. That's where we stay, usually at the same time in December.

Edit: downvote for the place being too nice? Not nice enough? Just general disdain for me as a poster? I’m betting on the latter.

But OP, it is a nice hotel worth considering.

Your nightly budget is extremely important, you trying to spend $500 or $5,000/ night? Its NYC during one of the busiest times of the year

The Beekman is nice if you're okay with staying in the FiDi.

Hyatt Union Square is nice bc it’s walkable to the village and SoHo, L train to Williamsburg, and so much else.

I stayed there once. I thought it was nice, and I had a balcony. I also like the Park Hyatt by Central Park.

The Carlyle on the UES. Close to Central Park, great museums and restaurants.

Really cool bar in there as well.

The Lexington in East Midtown.

Great location, reasonable rates.

We like the meatpacking district. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Gansevoort has a great rooftop bar. Chelsea Market and Whitney Museum are nearby.
