The PI spot foul

Needs to have a 15 yard limit. It’s an absolutely retarded rule and every week a team loses a game on it.

As was pointed out in the game thread, that play is exactly why it's a spot foul.
Without the DPI they make that play. Capping the penalty at 15 yards will lead to DBs just tackling any WR more than 15 yards past the LOS if they're beaten

Not that there needs to be more subjectivity, but make it like the NBA flagrant rule. Intentional is a spot foul and incidental is 15.

Should cap it at 20 yards. That would be a good compromise

Or just tackle them inside 15 yds and benefit. College game is fine with the 15 yd penalty. It will be fine in the NFL also

How about bringing back the challenge of PI they used it for 1 YEAR and ditched it. That show you the NFL care less about getting it right. A rule that can shift any game with 10-60 yards penalty should be reviewed. But no thats too right for a corrupt league. Just watch for entertainment purpose only and move on with your day afterwards.

I wonder what percentage of NFL games are decided by a late pass interference penalty that enables the trailing team to kick a time expiring field goal or score a short TD run to win the game. In my experience, it happens so often that you know who's going to win the game by what the score is in the last minute.

Ever watch a college football game? Very rarely is a game won or lost on a pass interference call. Half of every NFL game is decided by it however

NFL will never change it, it can change an outcome of a game too easily…
