Fresh shads if you have a cast net. Shiners work too.

Recreational jug line? Chicken liver will work.

Zote soap if they're gonna be soaking overnight

Brim! I have been using invasive Texas cichlids off my dock, catfish every time. I am not jugging, but theory is the same. Live fish off a float.

Livers fall off way too easily. I wouldn’t recommend using that. Shad, goldfish(baby carp) or chicken hearts all work well. If you want flat heads goldfish are your best bet.

Are yall hooking the bream/shade through the back?

Get some blue cats and use their belly meat for bait. It won't come off the hooks.

Live brim always worked for us. Live bait ups your chance for flat heads too.
